Pregnancy Pelvic Health Information Sessions

If you are pregnant and receiving maternity care in Norfolk and Waveney, you can join our free session focusing on a vital part of your wellbeing - your pelvic health.

The session is delivered by  a specialist NHS pelvic health physiotherapy team, giving evidence-based advice to help you stay comfortable, confident and informed during and after pregnancy.

The relaxed, supportive session will cover:

  • How pregnancy and birth affects your pelvic floor
  • How to effectively do pelvic floor exercise
  • Practical tips to prevent and improve common pelvic health concerns (such as perineal tears, incontinence, pelvic pain, and prolapse)
  • Recovery and pelvic health after birth

This class is suitable for all stages of pregnancy and is a great opportunity to ask questions.

Who can attend?

Anyone who is currently pregnant and booked to receive maternity care at either the James Paget, Norfolk and Norwich or Queen Elizabeth Hospital Trust in Norfolk and Waveney.

What to bring

Just yourself and any questions you may have. No prior knowledge needed!

Who delivers the sessions?

A therapy assistant practitioner in the Norfolk and Waveney Perinatal Pelvic Health Service with experience supporting women through pregnancy and postnatal recovery.
