Just One Number is our single point of access for Norfolk & Waveney Children & Young People's Health Services. This includes;
Families, professionals and young people can get in touch with Just One Number by calling 0300 300 0123.
Your call might be for an appointment change, or you might have a parenting question or a worry about your child’s physical & emotional health, or communication development. Whatever your reason to contact us, our team are here to help you.
Calls to Just One Number from a mobile phone with a contract will usually be included in your call package and won’t cost anything extra. Calls from pay-as-you-go mobile phone or calling from a landline will occur a charge from your network provider.
The phone line can get very busy sometimes but if you leave a voicemail with your contact details and a brief reason for your call, a member of the team will call you back as soon as possible.
Drop-ins
Every weekday you are able to speak to a Healthy Child Service clinician via video call about your child aged 0-19, through our Online Child Health Drop In, open weekdays 10-12pm
Free Wi-Fi can be accessed from a variety of public places including GP practices, Early Childhood and Family Hubs, Libraries, Supermarkets and Cafes. Please consider yours and your child’s confidentiality when accessing services in public areas.
You can also access the Healthy Child Service face-to-face through our Healthy Child drop ins for children under 5, where you can ask the local health visiting team any questions about your child’s health, development or growth.

Parentline is our text service for parents and carers to get in touch about any parenting questions or concerns.
You might find it hard to call in to Just One Number during opening hours, due to a hearing impairment or you may just prefer to chat by text with a health professional.
If you need advice about your child or young person’s health or wellbeing, simply send a text and one of our team will text you back.
You can text at anytime on 07520 631590. A health professional from the 0-19 team will reply during our opening times. You can have the whole conversation by text if that works best for you, or the practitioner can call you.
Your network provider will charge your usual rate for messages you send.
When you call, one of our skilled admin team will ask you for your child’s details (or yours if you are pregnant). They will firstly confirm they can access yours and/or your child's electronic health records. This is the digital record where health professionals record contacts with families.
Sometimes your concern might not be able to be fully sorted over the phone. If this is the case, we can refer you for further support with one of our Healthy Child Service or Speech and Language Teams.
